Grace Carter-Allen

Grace Carter-Allen teaches our Clothes Making and Clothes Upcycling classes. She has extensive knowledge of the subject thanks to over 30 years’ experience in the field. Her classes are suitable for complete beginners as well as those wanting to further develop their Clothes Making skills.
Grace gained a diploma in Fashion Craft at Medway College of Design. Her first job was as a Pattern Cutter for the fashion house Wallis. She is also a qualified teacher who has taught Garment Construction in adult education and at local primary schools.

When not teaching at All Sewn Up, Grace works at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital making pressure garments for burns patients. Any spare time is taken up with making and altering clothes on a commercial basis.
