Bring along your sewing project and be guided by the tutor.
Skills you can develop include altering garments, sewing techniques and guidance to help you complete a garment from a commercial pattern.
This will be a class of mixed-level of sewing. So everyone will be working at their own pace with guidance from the tutor.
To be able to do this course, you must be able to use a sewing machine.
If there are any questions, please email the tutor at least two weeks before the course starts to guarantee a response.

I have already used a sewing machine and done basic sewing for example tote bags and little sip bags will this course still benefit me?
Yes, this course is designed for anyone who wants to learn to be a confident and able sewer. The course doesn’t just focus on people who want knowledge and skills for small sewing projects but also larger scale sewing projects one might need to undertake in the future such as making products by bulk or a range of garments for example.
Do we get to make anything that we can keep and take home in the course?
Yes.

You will have the use of all equipment in the workroom including: large tables, sewing machines, over-lockers, irons & metal rulers.
