Introduction and Course Content

Intermediate and advanced students will be supported in the making of garments using commercial or own patterns under the supervision and assistance of our qualified tutor.

This is a mixed level class, you will work with others at different levels.

Teaching will be in groups and on an individual one-to-one basis.

The tutor will present examples and samples and discuss the construction of your garment. There will be some demonstrations. You can practice methods taught by the tutor’s demonstrations. Students can take notes, photos of demonstrations.

Entry Requirements

This course is an intermediate level, suitable for people who have some knowledge of using a sewing machine and constructing a garment. Adult Learners 18+

What you will need to bring along to the class:

Commercial sewing pattern at a level you are comfortable with.

The fabric and haberdashery to make this garment.

A basic sewing kit consisting of fabric scissors, trimming scissors, paper scissors, dressmaker sewing pins with glass heads(about 38mm long), tape measure, fabric marker, seam ripper and hand sewing needles.

You must provide your own materials, haberdashery and thread to complete your garment.
