FA18SP/MO/C for Monday evening from 6.45pm to 9.15pm
FA18SP/TH/C for Thursday evening from 6.45pm to 9.15pm
FA18SP/FR/A for Friday Morning from 10am to 12:30pm
Beginners will learn how to use a sewing machine and will be making a series of samples including a variety of seams, pockets, inserted zips and collars before starting on own projects.
Experienced students will be able to undertake the making of garments using commercial patterns, under the supervision and assistance of a qualified fashion teacher.
This course is suitable for adult students of all ages and all levels.
All levels. This course is for learners with no knowledge of clothes making as well as for learners who have previous experience.

At the end of the course you will be able to:
Insert a variety of zips
Apply a range of pockets
Make a range of collars and cuffs
Applying a range of seams
Using a variety of machine feet
Learners with previous knowledge will be able to apply the above to garments old and new.
Learners will learn how to use commercial patterns or apply the above knowledge to own design.
Classes typically have 12 learners working on samples. There after working on own assignments.

You will have the use of all equipment in the workroom which includes:- LARGE TABLES, SEWING MACHINES, OVERLOCKERS, IRONS & METAL RULERS.
You will need to supply all fabrics, haberdashery & your own sewing equipment, list available at first session. Some materials are obtainable from the tutor. Price list available in the classroom.
